JANICE ZAWERBNY

JANICE ZAWERBNY is Executive Editor at HarperCollins Canada. She has worked as an editor for more than twenty-five years in Canada. Some of her most recent fiction successes include, the national bestseller, Five Little Indians by Michelle Good and The Berry Pickersby Amanda Peters, which won the Barnes and Noble Discover Prize and the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction. She has also had noteworthy successes with non-fiction, including national bestseller The Outsider by Brett Popplewell and Bush Runnerby Mark Bourrie, which won the Charles Taylor Prize for Creative Non-Fiction. Janice taught substantive and stylistic editing at Toronto Metropolitan University for six years, and co-founded the Carol Shields Prize for Non-Fiction, a literary award for women writers in Canada and the US.
