ISABEL HUGGAN, whose stories, essays and poetry have appeared in The New Quarterly over many years, grew up in nearby Elmira. However, much of her life has been spent abroad (resulting in the prize-winning memoir Belonging) until four years ago when she returned to Canada, to settle in Orillia.
