GEOFF MARTIN’s essay “The Isabel Letters” won the 2024 Edna Staebler Personal Essay Contest. His place-based and environmental essays have been nominated twice for the Pushcart Prize and have appeared in Creative Nonfiction, Literary Review of Canada, Boulevard, and The Common, among others. He recently completed an essay collection, entitled Homeground, and in 2023 he co-founded The Creek Collective, a group of artists making art in response to—and alongside—Schneider Creek in Kitchener Ontario.
