SOLD OUT: How to Think in Panels: Creating Graphic Novels

$25.00

In this 80-minute workshop, participants will learn a fundamental in writing a graphic novel: how to think in panels. Instead of writing long scenes as we do in prose, participants will choose specific beats—single images—that move the story forward. They’ll learn about pacing—when to linger and when to jump ahead—and use visual composition, page layout, and silence to create rhythm, mood, and emotional impact.

No drawing skills required—just bring your ideas. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of your story and how to bring it to the page. Paper, markers, and colour pencils provided.
