In a world filled with dystopias, why not shift our focus on realistic solutions embedded in exciting and beautiful writing? Teens from 13-18 years old are invited to learn new tools and practices in writing solarpunk, a fiction genre set in a near or distant future that explores how we can actualize a more socially just and sustainable life. This workshop will encourage teens to play around with designing a future which is believable, grounded in green technology and nature-based solutions. They can then use that setting for the characters and story they want to tell.

Join us in the return of our Youth Masterclass, where teens will have the opportunity to imagine, explore, and inspire change through their writing.

This event is hosted at the Balsillie School of International Affairs from 1:30PM – 4:30PM..
