Join picture book authors Jennifer Harris and Kate Jenks in this hands-on workshop that will cover the mechanics of picture book writing. Beginning with a discussion on technical considerations, craft, and creation, participants will then have an opportunity to review the publication process, page proofs, and learn what editors expect from manuscripts. Participants will complete brainstorm activities and learn strategies for generating ideas to develop their projects.
