If you are supposed to write what you know, how can you assure that you are ready to write it? In this poetry masterclass, poet Sarah Tolmie, assisted by several students majoring in creative writing at the University of Waterloo’s Department of English, will lead participants through a series of somatic, experiential and verbal exercises that are designed to help people find words for their feelings and actions that are familiar and universal.
